A Message from Our Chair
Welcome and thank you for joining us for the American Heart Association’s 5th Annual Go Red for Women Luncheon and Heart Health Fair! Most of us do not realize that heart disease is the number one killer of women in America – nearly half a million women a year, about one per minute, die from cardiovascular disease.
Faced with these numbers, the AHA started a movement called Go Red that is focused solely on women-related heart disease and stroke research and education. Go Red for Women empowers women of all generations with the knowledge and tools they need to take positive action to reduce their risk of heart disease and stroke to protect their health. Go Red for Women also raises funds to promote important women-focused health research!
I am so glad you decided to help the AHA spread the Go Red for Women message: Our Hearts, Our Choice. Please know that your gift will make a difference in someone’s life….it may be your sister, your mother, your daughter or your best friend. It might be you.
I sincerely thank you for choosing to be part of the Go Red for Women Campaign and for your support in fighting this fatal illness. Together, we will conquer this killer.
